Hockey Returns to the Denver Coliseum!

Arts & Venues Denver (AVD) is thrilled to announce that hockey is back at the Denver Coliseum! A new Central Hockey League (CHL) team will play October - May and will host at least 33 games throughout the 12-13 season. The Coliseum, currently celebrating its 60th anniversary, is largely known as the home of the National Western Stock Show, but hockey teams have been major tenants since 1959 when the International Hockey League’s Denver Mavericks played there. Gordie Howe even played in the Coliseum!  Later this summer the team name, logo, colors, jerseys and players will be announced.
